Abstract

Through a review of the literature on papers published between 1990 and the present, the goal of this research is to examine the ideas of economic development and foreign direct investment (FDI), as well as the link between them. The evaluation is broken up into three sections, each of which reviews a distinct decade, in order to get better findings. Part I examines the years 1990–2000, Part II examines the years 2001–2012, and Part III examines the years 2013–present. Before examining each era in turn, we shall expound on the two key ideas of the current work. The paper's results, which are quite intriguing given that there has been a clear and substantial association between growth and foreign direct investment for at least the previous 30 years, will be documented at the end. The topics covered in this work seem to be of significant interest to the scientific community, based on the literature.
