Qur’anic Qiraa'ats in “Al-Mufhim Lima Ushkila min Talkhees Kitab-e- Muslim” by Al-Qurtubi

Abstract

Imam Muslim in “Al-Sahih” included a number of hadiths in which Different Quranic Qira'at were memtioned and those who explained Ahadith of Sahee Muslim explained and clarified them by mentioning the proven ones and describing what was not proven.

And one of the best explanations of “Sahih Muslim” is the explanation of Abu Al-Abbas Ahmed bin Omar Al-Qurtubi (578-656 AH) which is an explanation of Al-Qurtubi’s own summarization of “Sahih Muslim” hence it is considered an explanation of the hadiths of “Sahih Muslim”.

In this research، I highlighted Al-Hafiz Al-Qurtubi’s interest in Qira'ats of Quran، and his efforts to describe them while explaining the Ahadiths of “Sahih Muslim” and through this we will find an example of the  Hadith Scholars taking interest in the science of Qiraa'at.
