The question of whether the act of bleeding nullifies wudu (ablution) is a matter of significance in Islamic jurisprudence. This study explores this issue through the lens of authentic Hadiths and the actions of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. While some scholars argue that blood flowing from a wound does not break wudu, citing the Prophet's practice during battle when he bled but did not renew his ablution, others contend that it does nullify wudu, drawing on various interpretations of hadiths. This paper examines key narrations from the Hadith literature, including those of Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, to analyze differing opinions among scholars. Furthermore, the research will highlight the views of notable companions such as Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar. Ultimately, the findings will elucidate the understanding of blood flowing in relation to wudu, emphasizing the importance of adhering to authentic sources in Islamic jurisprudence.
