Abstract

9/11 is an unforgettable incident in the history of the world. The attacks of 9/11 sensitized the entire world. After 9/11, the United States and Western media started propaganda against Islam and Muslims. Using 9/11 as an excuse, the West under the leadership of the United States attacked Afghanistan on October 7, 2001. Millions of innocent Muslims were massacred using the false narrative of War on Terror. Just one hour after the 9/11 tragedy, th news channel CNN without any evidence declared Osama bin Laden responsible for the 9/11 attacks. The campaign was run by the Western media to prove Muslims as terrorists, jihadists and fundamentalists. The Islamic world was introduced as a world of terror and the Western world as a civilized world. 9/11 was called a war on civilization. The Western media is engaged in painting the Islamic world in the color of Western civilization. Samuel Huntington's theory of Clash of Civilization was followed. The cultural invasion of west is influencing Muslim social values. Family stability is being destroyed. Muslims are suffering from inferiority complex. So, Western civilization is getting embedded in Islamic societies. The practice of western evils (nudity, homosexuality etc.) is becoming common. At present, influence of Western civilization in the Islamic societies is the biggest problem of the Islamic world after 9/11.This research article explores that how can be contested promotion and influence of western civilization in Islamic world?
