Abstract

There are many scholars who do not differentiate between definition and interpretation, and define the terminologies of various knowledge in the shape of interpretation and such attitude of scholars indicates that they believe that definition and interpretation are same things.
Article aims to define definition and explains its conditions and requirements as these are mentioned in the knowledge of Logic, elaborates the definition and its elements, conditions, requirements and other relevant.
The article explains the types of definition and requirement of each type of definition and its elements.
The article elaborates that the scholar cannot define the term of any knowledge unless he is competent in this subject and studied it thoroughly from the beginning till the end and he must know the knowledge of logic which is only knowledge
discusses the method of definition, its types and different conditions must be followed in the definition of any term of any knowledge.
Each term is entity and each entity must be defined in proper way and every entity has its own common factor [genous] and specific factor [fasal or khasa] and such types of terms are discussed in knowledge of logic so it is appropriate for researcher to know of logic knowledge.
