Abstract

School climate is an integral component of the educational landscape, with a profound impact on students’ academic performance and overall well-being. School climate is a key element that facilitates students’ motivation at three levels as low, moderate, and high motivation. This study aimed to explore the intricate role of school climate in shaping the level of student motivation within the educational context. A survey was conducted to collect data. The population included all the secondary-level students at private schools in Pindhigheb. The sample of 400 students was randomly selected for data collection. The motivation scale, Motivation Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) was adopted, and a school climate questionnaire was developed as research instruments to collect data. Data were analyzed by applying the Pearson r correlation technique using SPSS. Findings revealed that students with a high level of motivation showed a highly significant positive correlation with school climate, students with a moderate level of motivation showed a significant positive correlation with school climate, while students with a low level of motivation showed no significant correlation with school climate
