The objective of the study was to investigate patterns and effects of in-class participation among high school students. More specifically, its purpose was to determine what degree students are engaged while sitting in a lecture. The methodology applied for this study was quantitative research, where a survey was distributed to a sample of 1500 students by using a stratified sampling technique. The information was gathered via a structured questionnaire and scored on a 5-point Likert scale with 23 items for Classroom Participation. Classroom Participation, characterized by students’ active involvement in discussions, exercises, and classroom dynamics, was identified as an important factor in facilitating an interactive and lively learning environment. The interactional classroom is an essential environment where learners engage with the teacher, peers, and instructional input, and they attend and respond appropriately. This type of communication is crucial to learning a language and solving tasks. The other side of this environment was determined by the teacher’s classroom management, whose function is to arrange and channel resources for use in favor of the goals of teaching, especially, motivation of students. Results of the study highlighted that students’ classroom participation has great value and emphasizes its role in supporting student engagement and leading to more effective learning outcomes
