Abstract

Numerous Sustainable Development Goals have a broad weighting of health status. This study would measure the effect of workers' health status on production in Pakistan, thereby reinforcing its significance. Using data from 1980 to 2022 for Pakistan, the current study uses the ARDL technique to investigate the impact of workers and health status on productivity. In the case of Pakistan, the link between worker productivity and gross fixed capital formation—a proxy for technology transfer—is positive. In contrast, the mortality rate, the availability of fresh water, life expectancy, and secondary enrolment have a negative relationship with worker productivity. Empirical analysis, experience, and education in Pakistan have frequently influenced worker productivity.
