Affiliation Policy
As with other journals published by UOL Publisher, authors submitting manuscripts to the Journal of Law, Justice and Human Rights are required to provide precise and verifiable institutional or organisational affiliation details, which are mandatory at the submission stage. This policy reinforces integrity, prevents conflicts of interest, and accurately captures the professional biography of every author.
Institutional Affiliation
An author must outline their institutional affiliation, specifying the name of the institution, the relevant department (if applicable), and the geographic location (including city and country).
The corresponding author must provide a primary institutional affiliation alongside accurate contact details, which will be used for all correspondence regarding the manuscript.
Multiple Affiliations
If an author holds positions at multiple institutions, all affiliations must be indicated separately. Utilize superscript digits to connect each affiliation to the relevant author’s name. Collaborating authors from the same institution are permitted to cite the affiliation once.
Affiliation at Time of Research
Affiliations must reflect the institutional association held by the author at the time the research was undertaken. If such an affiliation has since changed, the corresponding author’s updated affiliation should also be incorporated, accompanied by a clarifying remark about the transition.
Conflict of Interest Disclosure
It is the responsibility of authors to reveal any potential conflicts of interest which may arise from their links or financial, consulting, or professional connections with the institutions or entities relevant to the research.
Non-Institutional Affiliations
Independent scholars, consultants, or contributors from non-affiliated institutions should unambiguously indicate their professional title and organisational affiliation in the manuscript to avoid any confusion.
Acknowledgement of Institutional Support
All monetary support, institutional support, or research funding relevant to the study must be recognised in the Acknowledgements section of the manuscript.
This policy aims to enhance clarity, professionalism, and responsibility regarding authorship affiliations, thereby fostering the trustworthiness and ethical integrity of the publication system.
